06 | Stu McLaren - How Authentic Leader's Connect With Others
Stu McLaren, founder of Tribe, is a multi-million dollar online entrepreneur. Stu is one of my favorite internet marketers that I follow, mainly because even before I met him, I felt like I already knew him. He somehow, some way, found a way to connect with people online with his authentic leadership style. Ever since I started following Stu, I have started to implement a bit more of my own personality into my leadership roles. I think that many leaders are a bit fearful of bringing their true selves to the forefront of their persona. Many times who we are at home is different than how we are in front of our teams and in public. Stu has truly forced me to re-think the way I approach my leadership style. As I began to showcase my true self, people have been very responsive. I think that millennials are very good at noticing those who are fake and inauthentic, so in dealing with millennials, I realized that this is something I MUST get right.
